The funny thing is MCM has been saying for two years this was very similar to the Vietnam war -- the gov, the media all lying about how swimmingly it was going. Then the bodies piled up. Soon everyone knew someone, directly or indirectly that had died, and the media narrative became an obvious lie. Eventually, the media turned.
