I think I get t it now. I generally understand "cutting red tape" as being related to doing things that gets the government out of the way (ie reducing regulatory burdens), but if you instead just mean getting obstructions out of the way *for the government* to achieve their goals then maybe it fits. I think this is a distortion of the language, but it comes from the party of #newspeak so not a huge shock I guess
@thatguyoverthere @arzachel you probably also have to jump through hoops to get the money, which just means that everybody, if they want the money, have to do more work or lose out. so yeah the opposite.
